N registry
Ferry flights for N-registered aircraft
Most aircraft we move are on the United States register at some point in their journey. FAA rules govern the operating basis, the special flight permit process and the RVSM authorization, and we handle all three routinely.
- The registry we work with most
- Special flight permit preparation and filing
- RVSM Letter of Authorization typically turned in three to five days
- Export certificate of airworthiness support
- International permits filed with FAA documentation
Special flight permits
When an aircraft does not meet all airworthiness requirements but is safe for a specific flight, a special flight permit is the legal basis for moving it. We prepare the application, assemble the supporting maintenance data and manage the conditions the FAA attaches.
RVSM authorization
An N-registered operator needs its own LOA to use RVSM airspace even when the airframe and crew are qualified. Without it, the aircraft is stuck below FL290 and the fuel burn on a long crossing becomes punishing.
