Ferry flights
Recovering aircraft from long term storage
An aircraft that has sat for a year is a different machine from one that flew last week. Seals dry out, batteries die, tires flat spot and paperwork expires. Recovering it well is a project, not a phone call.
- Waking up a parked aircraft
- Return to service scope reviewed before travel
- Fuel, hydraulic and system checks coordinated on site
- Conservative first leg to a suitable maintenance base
- Experience with Arizona, California and European storage fields
The first leg matters most
We usually plan a short first sector to a field with maintenance support rather than pushing straight for the destination. It costs one extra day and removes most of the risk from the movement.
Storage fields we work from regularly
Victorville, Goodyear, Marana, Roswell and Tucson in the United States, plus Teruel, Tarbes and Kemble in Europe and a number of Asian parking locations.
